Friday Hi-Fives: Ceremonies, Celebrations and Cinema!

Bonjour, babe! And so we meet again, at the end of another glorious week. This time last week I was getting excited for the Scotland Re: Designed fashion event, but it was at the event itself that I was truly bowled over! There was so much Scottish design talent under one roof and everyone involved put on a beautiful show. It felt like just the right occasion to wear a dress covered in Snoopy (by the awesome Rodnik Band!) and was one of those incredible nights that I will remember for a VERY long time! The next evening seen a much more intimate affair as we celebrated the bitter-sweet end of the Commonwealth Games at a party with friends – ending in some impromptu Roxy Music-inspired posing and shrieks of KYLIE!

I went along to a cinema preview with Gary on Tuesday (he’s blogged all about it over here!), and enjoyed a catch up with blue-haired beauty Ayden on Wednesday afternoon over a cuppa. More celebrations came towards the end of the week – two very special ladies are leaving Glasgow (and Scotland!) for exciting new chapters, and it would only be right to give them a proper send-off, don’t you think? So we did, and it was awesome! It’s a strange feeling when a friend moves far away, never mind two – but I’m super excited for the adventures they will have.

Tomorrow I’m going to be heading along to Kelvingrove Bandstand for some stand-up comedy (watching it, not performing it!), so fingers crossed for sunshine! I’ve got a lot to look forward to next week, I can’t wait to share it all! Until then, let’s jump right into this weekend and all it has to offer – starting with some hi-fives…
