Friday Hi-Fives: Pyjamas, Pizza and Perfecting the Fringe!

friday hi-fives

Happy weekend, you beautiful creature! How has your week been? Full of festive cheer, I hope! Since we last hi-fived, I’ve been picking up stocking fillers from some of my favourite indie designers at Etsy Made Local, sipping fruity mocktails at The Savings Bank (sidenote: SUCH A COOL VENUE!) and immersing myself in the scent of Christmas at the relaunch of Arran (formally Arran Aromatics).

Last week, I also got in my pyjamas and partied with some awesome local ladies through the #GrandCentralSleepover (more on that very soon…) at the gorgeous Grand Central Hotel. Proof you’re never too old to gorge on sugar and stay up until 2am chattering!

There’s something about this time of year that makes me want to feel pampered. Maybe it’s the frosty weather, or the extra get-togethers with friends and family – whatever it might be, I always like to feel my best. This of course calls for a visit to Rachel at BLOW for the sharpest bob and a good blether. What I love most about going to Rachel is that she is a real perfectionist, especially when it comes to my fringe! Needless to say, I am super happy with the result.

I also revisited The Beauty Business at Pixie for another lash lift, as I was so pleased with the last result. I’m fluttering away as I type! Feeling footloose and fancy free, I headed out for pizza and present-swapping on Thursday evening. Not a bad start to the weekend!

I’d love to share a few fun events happening over the next week that I think you might like, so you’ll notice that this edition of Friday Hi-Fives has a definite theme! Diaries at the ready…

…in Glasgow tomorrow at The Briggait you can dig for vintage treasures at Judy’s Affordable Vintage Fair. I’ve been to previous fairs and they ALWAYS carry the finest pre-loved pieces from around the UK

…also tomorrow is the chance to check out a selection of Glasgow’s home-grown brands at SWG3 as part of Trakke’s Christmas Market

…heading to the capital tomorrow? Out Of The Blue’s art market is on from 11am at Edinburgh’s Drill Hall. A little bird told me there’ll be a £5 sale at it… just sayin’

…on Thursday Cafe Strange Brew are opening a bit later to host a special Christmas shopping night with some awesome local makers, including gorgeous dainty jewellery from Marion Made

…and if you’re headed west on Thursday, you can pop into Solo on Hyndland Road for an evening of mulled wine, mince pies and shopping. Ho ho ho!

Whatever you get up to over the next week, I hope you have an awesome time! Let me know if you hit up any of the events I’ve mentioned (and if you pick up something special!).

See you next week,
