My Month in Pictures: April 2017

I’m back, baby! This is my first blog post as Lynsay Loves and it feels GOOOOD, you guys. I thought I would start things off with a little visual round up of what my last month has looked like – I’m always snapping photos when I’m out and about, playing with my iPhone, Instagramming  (of course!) and trying improve my photography skills.

Some of these pictures are personal, some are just for fun and some are snippets from places I’ve been to lately. Enjoy!

Benefit Cosmetics opened their all-pink pop-up charity shop in Glasgow as part of their #raiseabrow campaign this month and so many people turned up to donate, buy and help empower women. Did you scoop any bargains?

I was featured on the Tatty Devine blog this month, hop on over and find me sharing some of my favourite pieces from my jewellery collection!

Pausing for a quick shoefie with Gary (with a floor like THAT, it’d be rude not to!)…

We stopped by the new Paesano restaurant launch on Great Western Road. The pizza was delicious but it was their dessert menu that stole my heart – simple, classic ice cream dishes with super cute branding!

I was beyond flattered that the uber-talented Folklorique recreated my Minnie Mouse look from last year’s Disney trip in one of her illustrations! I think she’s nailed it, don’t you?

Don’t let that grumpy face fool you – Bosley is a very affectionate little guy. We dropped him off at his brother’s yesterday where he’ll be staying for a few weeks. I miss him already!

Here’s looking at you, April 2017! I hope you’ve had an awesome month, and I really hope you like the blog makeover! Let me know what you think in the comments below or over on Twitter…

Smoked Diamonds Candle from Shearer Candles

Shearer Candles have so many scents to choose from that it can be difficult to pick just one out! What I love about this Smoked Diamonds candle is that not only does it smell AMAZING, but the mirrored packaging is also stunning – making it a great stocking filler for anyone that has moved home lately, or simply likes to have something pretty to keep on their desk.

Smoked Diamonds’ scent is described as a ‘blend of playful florals, sensual musks and sweet cocoa’ and is part of the latest collection from Shearer Candles, who make all of their products here in Glasgow. You can pick up the small (£10) or larger version (£15) of Smoked Diamonds online or in store.

Friday Hi-Fives: Bank Holiday Fun and Bruce!

IMG_2779

Let’s hear it for the four-day week! I hope you guys had fun over the Bank Holiday weekend. On Saturday we headed down to SWG3 and visited Sole Bloc sneaker festival – basically the mothership for anyone that loves shoes, so Gary and I felt right at home! Afterwards, we enjoyed the sunshine and grabbed some lunch at Seb & Milli, who do the BEST watermelon and mint salad. My mouth is watering just thinking about it…

I was excited to get a proper catch up with the lovely Vicky, so on Monday we spent the day together in the city centre. Vicky has recently been bringing some of her scarf designs to life, and after having a peek at some finished samples let me tell you, the girl has done GOOD. Proud friend moment over here.

Mid-week, Gary and I headed over to Hampden and caught Bruce Springsteen at his The River Tour Glasgow show. With sunshine, good vibes and nearly 4 hours of The Boss on fine form, we had a ton of fun. Broooooooooce!

Waking up to a sunny morning sure makes bouncing out of bed easier, and this week has been full of them. After a super-summery orange and gold manicure at Swoon Nails this afternoon, that Friday feeling was kicking in and I met Lori, Laura and Ayden to go out for dinner and celebrate Laura’s birthday. What a start to the weekend!

I’m gonna go and enjoy the sunshine over the next few days – let’s do this…

This week, I’m hi-fiving because…

…on-brand coffee art from Papercup is too awesome. When fashion and caffeine unite!

…the new Kiss and Make Up collection by Tatty Devine has to be one of my favourite releases yet

…I was included in this article from The Daily Record amongst some of my favourite local bloggers – a nice surprise!

…I practically SQUEALED when I opened this month’s Glitterati subscription box. Totally tropical.

…KIKO Milano have finally opened a store in the city centre with a sleek range of budget-friendly makeup

Hi-Five Homework: if someone you know is kicking butt, tell them how proud you are!

Happy weekend, everyone! See you next week.

With long, lazy days in the sunshine,
