Lynsay Loves Spaces: Champagne Central, Glasgow

As a self-confessed interiors nut, it really makes my heart sing when I come across a space that has unique or striking design elements. Looking through my camera roll is a pretty accurate reflection of this too - with hundreds of photos dedicated to floors, walls, ceilings and furniture from when I’ve been out and about!

I love sharing personal decor ideas of course, along with how we’ve styled things around the flat, but I also want to let you guys see the other places that happen to catch my eye. Hopefully, if these places are local to you, you might be inspired to pay them a visit - or maybe they’ll give you a few ideas for your own interior projects.

To start things off, here are a few photos from my recent visit to Champagne Central, a stylish speakeasy within Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow that serves afternoon tea, gourmet bites, cocktails and more. I’ve mentioned the hotel before but, when I went along to last year’s relaunch of Champagne Central, I was blown away with the transformation!

There is more than a hint of the Grand Budapest Hotel in this space - with soft pink and blue velvet furniture, paperback books and gold hardware adorning the bar. Antique-style bird cages, fern motifs and typewriters also lend a hip, quirky feel.

Even though the place is newly-renovated, Champagne Central already feels classic and comfortable. I can see myself happily spending an afternoon or two here (plus, it makes a great spot to wait for your train as the hotel overlooks Central Station!).
