I bet if I didn’t explain what time of year it was, you’d still be able to guess for this edition of my Beauty Hit List. So many of the products I’ve been using lately just scream summertime - from heat protection to lighter coverage make up, some things were just made for fun in the sun, huh?
The bonus thing about this little round up is: everything I’ve included could be used year round if you really like them! Let’s hop in and see what some of my recent favourites, new releases and discoveries have been…

NEURO Lather Shampoo & Rinse Conditioner by Paul Mitchell
NEURO’s line of haircare products is designed to help repair hair that’s been ravaged by the hot hot heat! Considering how uncharacteristically warm and sunny Glasgow has been lately, it’s no surprise that giving my tired locks some lovin’ has been top of my list of beauty must-do’s!

Mini Hydrating Super Balm by Lucky Cloud
This Scottish brand have been on my radar for a while now, but I only got the chance to shop their range when they popped up at Super Market this summer. The Super Balm is exactly what it sounds like - a handbag-sized multitasker that helps soothe, protect and moisturise. It smells dreamy too, thanks to the vanilla and sweet orange essential oil.

Liquid Fairy Lights by Pixi Beauty
Can you ever have too much glitter? This has been my mantra for approximately half of my life but when I spy a bit of sparkle it’s like I’m 16 all over again. Of course, I’ve graduated from using craft glitter on my face (and hair… and nails…) because now we have utterly divine products like these Pixi Liquid Fairy Lights to choose from! I’ve been sweeping this shade (SunRay) across my eyes for some extra twinkle on nights out.

Hello Happy by Benefit
I am, without a doubt, a full coverage foundation gal. Usually, I wouldn’t be so interested in such a lightweight formula, but Benefit’s Hello Happy really hooked me in (after grabbing my attention with some oh-so-Kawaii packaging!) with a weightless and breathable alternative to my usual face. And just to clarify, in this recent heatwave, heavy makeup isn’t such a good look… unless you want me to audition to play Heath Ledger’s Joker. Why so serious?

Unseen Sunscreen by Supergoop
This stuff is straight up WITCHCRAFT, you guys! I found it while snooping around Sephora in May and, after testing out a sample on my hand, I was in love! Here’s what sets it apart: it feels like nothing and it looks like nothing but it is broad spectrum SPF 40. The only thing I can compare it to would be a super light primer. If I ever create a Beauty Hit List Hall of Fame, expect to see this bad boy.
What are your summertime hero products this year? Have you discovered anything new lately that you think should make the Beauty Hit List? Let me know!

This post contains some PR samples but all views, product experiences and outlandish accusations of witchcraft are mine.
