Friday Hi-Fives: Mixing the New and Familiar

IMG_5279
Hey, Friday friends! How has your week been? I’m super stoked to round up my week and share my favourites with you. Last weekend, we spent our time at home - after our recent adventures, it was nice to hang out and not wander too far. On Sunday, we grabbed some lunch at the Glad Cafe (their home-made hash browns are RIDICULOUS. Pure comfort on a plate, I tell you!) before taking a walk around Queen’s Park.

During the week, I caught up with some of my favourite local bloggers at LUSH Braehead’s Winter-themed event. We made bath bombs, got VERY excited about Christmas and chatted about taking care of our skin when the days get a little colder. I always love hanging out with the LUSH team, and this event was no exception.

On Thursday, I started preparing for this Halloween with a visit to Swoon for a vampy, dark manicure - ooh, la la! It’s a little different from my usual day-glo and glitter, but it’s very apt for the season and makes me feel very American Horror Story: Coven. Now, where did I leave that eye of newt?

Today I did something completely new and went to the gym! And it wasn’t so bad (in fact, I actually quite enjoyed it). I’m trying to avoid the urge to completely hibernate over the next few months, so working a bit of exercise into my routine will hopefully be a welcome little challenge. Watch this space…

I’m looking forward to a lot of things this weekend - hitting Hutchesons for brunch, hanging with our besties and recording a new podcast episode to name a few! What about you guys? Before we go off and make the most of it (AND that extra hour in bed this Sunday!!), let me share a few favourites and must-clicks from this week!
