Everyday Empowerment and How to Recognise it!

empowerment

When was the last time you felt empowered? Did you know how to spot it?

Feeling empowered is a rather grand turn of phrase but, here’s the thing, it doesn’t always need to mean something bold and dramatic. It’s also about being in control of your own destiny, the choices you make and feeling confident about what you’re doing.

Making decisions and sticking to our guns is something we probably do a lot more than what we give ourselves credit for. For example, I’m a big believer of bringing positive energy into my day-to-day because I feel that it can have a valuable impact on situations and help influence the outcome. That’s a choice I make and one that I happily take responsibility for!

Setting yourself a daily, weekly or life-long goal is another easy sign of empowerment. You might decide that today, you’re going to pay all of your bills. You could decide that you’re going to finish the project you started last year that fell by the wayside. You might simply wake up on a Monday and decide that this is going to be a good week - no matter who tries to bring you down.

Whatever you’re working towards, take a moment and recognise that feeling of you being in the driving seat and making things happen. That’s empowerment, my friend!

And finally, are you the kind of friend that tells people ‘you got this, dude. I believe you can do it’! Well, being that kind of friend to YOURSELF helps to crush feelings of self-doubt and keep motivation high. Tell yourself I can do this, because you really, really can.

Everyday empowerment isn’t about running an empire, it’s about you trusting yourself, owning what you do and believing you can do it!

Now, go get ’em, tiger.
