Friday Hi-Fives: Snow Days, Singl-end & Spa Bliss

IMG_8505

FRIDAY! FRIDAY! FRIDAY! I swear, inside of my head has been chanting that delicious word all day, how about you?

I’m so pleased to be hi-fiving with you guys again after a busy but awesome week. As some of you may know, I spent my weekend out enjoying the snow days and walking around Glasgow. As nice as it is seeing other people playing in the snow, there’s something totally magical about finding a silent, snow-dusted street that doesn’t have a single person in it - I couldn’t help snapping this one.

Lunch at Singl-end was of course a highlight of my weekend (and you can catch my review of the cafe & bakehouse here if you haven’t already!), and we also squeezed in a trip to Wholefoods to pick up some essentials…and non-essentials! Well, can you blame me??

Through the week I caught up with Ayden who came to visit me at home and it was great to have a girly night in with such a sweet friend. On Thursday I spent an afternoon at James Duns House in the city centre at their beautiful spa, and after being rubbed and scrubbed within an inch of my life, I practically floated home! The rest of the evening was a bit of a blissed-out blur but I DO know that I watched a movie and slept like a baby. A girl could get used to every day ending like that!

Today Gary and I hit Cafe Strange Brew for more of their yummy food and ace coffee, before hopping on a bus to Byres Road and picking up a few things (FACT: the Oliver Bonas sale is dangerous!). Not a bad way to start the weekend, and I hope yours is off to a strong start too!

This week, I’m hi-fiving because…

…the girlbosses at #BLOW Finneston just became the UK’s only official Manic Panic salon! Looking for dreamy unicorn hair? Form an orderly queue…

…I started making overnight oats for breakfast and they’re a total game changer. Even better when enjoyed with juice named after one of your favourite albums (ahem!)

…Today is National Polka Dots Day! Feeling major Minnie Mouse vibes over here, you guys!

…Rosie’s deep dish pumpkin pie recipe looks like the perfect weekend treat

…We booked our next holiday to Florida and it’s only a few months away! Cue the confetti!

Tell me about YOU! What has made your heart sing this week?

Hi-five homework: listen to your favourite song. Turn it up, and sing along LOUD!

With snowdrifts and strong coffee,

Signature

  1. Less exciting my heart sang when my boiler broke down and I thought my service agreement ended in December, but it didn’t end till 31st January and the man managed to mend it so I have hot water and heat for the weekend. Sometimes it’s the little things x
